GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana)
GWK stands for Garuda Wisnu Kencana
Garuda, the word Garuda comes from Sanskrit which means a bird and its body is like a human. But the head and legs resemble a bird and on the back there are wings. Of course the Garuda bird is a mythological bird.
Then, Vishnu is one of the gods in Hinduism who has a role in maintaining and protecting all of God’s creations. While Kencana means Gold.
Because in the tourist area of GWK Bali there is a statue of Lord Vishnu, who wears a gold crown, and is riding a Garuda bird with a very large statue size. So this tourist spot in Bali is named Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK).
Uluwatu Temple
The location of the temple is located on a coral hill with a height of about 97 meters above sea level. Because the location of the temple is on a rock cliff, this temple is named Uluwatu, which in Sanskrit means the peak of the rock.
The location of the establishment of the Luhur Uluwatu temple building, makes tourists who come to visit, not only can enjoy a sacred and religious atmosphere, but also beautiful and unique views.
In addition to the attractiveness of the temple architecture and the beauty of the sunset view, tourists can also watch traditional Balinese dance performances, namely the Balinese Kecak Dance. The Uluwatu Kecak Dance is played by 50-100 dancers. Kecak dancers will sit in a circle and wear a black and white sarong
Jimbaran Bay
The Jimbaran beach area is located on the southwest side of the island of Bali. In addition, the coastline is in a wide bay area with a curved shape and is right on the south side of Ngurah Rai International Airport. From the beach you can see Ngurah Rai airport, which is the only international standard airport in Bali.
While on the south side of the Jimbaran beach area is the initial area of the Bukit Peninsula area, which is famous for the Pecatu, Ungasan and Uluwatu areas.
In the Jimbaran bay area, there are three different beach names, even though the coastlines are united. On the north side of Jimbaran beach, is Kedonganan beach and the coastline closest to the airport is Kelan beach Bali.
